“My life is not important to me, but other people life important. Me, life only important if I can help plenty people. If me my life is just me, my one security…then me no want it. My life is for people. That´s what me is.” Bob Marley

And just like Bob Marley himself said it, it´s so real to be able to feel the satisfaction when you begin to be active on behalf of other people and the world, life is just a tool to build dreams and turn them into reality. When you have opportunities such as this volunteering experience, the right thing to do is to give everything you´ve got and at the same time to get the most out of it. ICS has now given me one more reason to keep going on this path.

Being a volunteer from International Service in the amazing Volunteering and Participation for Inclusion team has no price, during these past few weeks I have learned so much about what disability is and all its types. On Monday I got to meet the people from Best Buddies, it felt magical they´re such amazing people that when I got home I realized I was in the right place and I was definitely growing so much from it. Now I feel part of this family.

Waking up every day I feel more secure of what I want to do further on in my life, and this is just the beginning, I don´t know what will happen tomorrow, in a month or in five years but I´m sure we only need to enjoy it. Thanks for giving me this chance to show that if you are willing and are patient you can get far. Thanks to my Team Leader Emma Nowotny from whom each day I learn something, always passing on such a huge passion and challenging us every day. To my co-workers Camila Richter, Lucia Pantoja, Luciana Lema, Katherine Aliaga and Alejandro Cosulich, thanks for making this team so enjoyable, every day we get to learn together and become better people together as well.
